Lead Full stack Developer

• Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (3 days in office)
• Contract Length: 12 months with possibilities of extension.

Our client is the Canadian gold standard in the Financial Services Industry. We at Vely  are hiring a Lead Fullstack Developer for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.

Responsibilities:

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs and conferring with stakeholders and users. studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas.
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts,
• layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
• You will be creating new services using the latest technologies, which will shape the future for the company’s Digital Team.
• Collaborate with other developers on the team to model and design new API interfaces
• Develop and support highly scalable, high-performance APIs and frontend digital experiences.
• Mentor and inspire team of developers to deliver their best performance
• Ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing
• Automate processes within the development pipeline; identify opportunities for efficiency gains and reducing time-to-market; and enabling continuous delivery ·
• Design and develop code structures to promote reusability across many applications
• Work within a talented team comprised of technical, product, and business team members to deliver exceptional products. Stay open-minded and look beyond your stack to solve complex problems
• You will actively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges
• Excellent communication, including the ability to distill technical details into human terms

Must-have Skills

• 10+ years experience with Java 8+ and Spring Framework (Spring Boot)
• 4+ years experience with NodeJS Angular experience
• 3 years+ SASS, JavaScript and Typescript, CSS, HTML, and HTTP.
• 2 years developing distributed cloud apps (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Open Shift, Azura, Docker)

Nice-to-Have:

• Ideal; Lead teams in small to mid size org, i.e.; later round startups .FinTech’s.
